Guillermo De Fazio & Giovanna Dan

GD Tango, the internationally celebrated duo of Guillermo De Fazio and Giovanna Dan, stands at the forefront of Argentine tango performance today. Known for their electrifying presence, precision, and passion, Guillermo and Giovanna bring together decades of experience, artistry, and innovation that continue to captivate audiences around the world.


Guillermo, born and raised in Buenos Aires, first rose to international fame as one half of the legendary tango duo Los Hermanos Macana, whose signature style and dynamic performances brought Argentine tango to global stages with a mix of tradition, charisma, and theatrical flair. His deep roots in tango culture and his extensive experience as a performer and choreographer have made him one of the most respected figures in the field.


Giovanna brings a powerful and trailblazing presence to the duo. With a strong background in various dance styles, she is a graduate of UCLA, where she cultivated her interdisciplinary artistic voice. She is also recognized as one of the first women to specialize in the gaucho percussion act of boleadoras, a traditionally male-dominated art form. Her mastery of this high-energy folkloric discipline, paired with her expressive strength and technical versatility in tango, sets her apart as a truly distinctive artist and performer.


Together, Guillermo and Giovanna have choreographed for ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, introducing authentic Argentine tango to a global television audience. They produced and starred in the award-winning theatrical production Once Upon a Tango, which earned critical acclaim at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. Their international reputation includes extended performance residencies in Dubai, where they brought tango to luxury cultural venues and diverse global audiences.

They have been featured in multiple PBS specials, including the nationally televised Tango Under the Stars at the Hollywood Bowl, performing with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. In 2022, they directed, choreographed, and starred in Tango Argentina, a major U.S. tour spanning 26 cities. The production continued its international success with a large-scale Korean tour in 2025.
In 2024, they premiered their original work Un Viaje Por Buenos Aires at the iconic Ford Theatre in Los Angeles, delivering an immersive journey through the rich cultural landscapes and evolving spirit of tango.


Through their company GD Tango, Guillermo De Fazio and Giovanna Dan continue to redefine Argentine tango with a unique blend of tradition, innovation, and theatrical storytelling. As performers, choreographers, and cultural ambassadors, they are shaping the future of tango while honoring its deep-rooted legacy.

Alejandra Armenti & Daniel Juárez

Alejandra and Daniel both began the study of dance at the age of 6, in folklore, classical, jazz and tango.


Their professional career took flight in the Argentinian National Folklore Ballet between 1991 and 1997, company which brought them on the most prestigious stages of Buenos Aires, such as Teatro Colon, Cervantes, San Martin, Luna Park.


From 1997 on they began working as a soloist master tango couple, touring the world ( Brasil, Mexico, USA, China, Russia, New Zeeland, Turkey, Japan, all of Europe) while in Buenos Aires continued performing in well-known tango stages such as La Ventana, Taconeando, Esquina Carlos Gardel, Hotel Faena ( Rojo Tango).
Between 1998 and 2001 were integral part of La Nueva Compania Tangueros under the direction of Mariachiara Micheli with whom participated in the most important dance festivals, among which was the Torino Fiat Centennial, and with an audience of thousands. They continued to tour Italy, Switzerland, USA.


Summer of 2002 brought them working in 'Perfumes de Tango' with Compania Tango x 2 directed by Miguel Angel Zotto.
In August 2003 they created their own company called Corporacion Tango. They took their company performing in many, many shows and all over the world.


In 2007 Corporacion Tango was elected best group choreography to perform at the World's Championship Finals for the stage category in front of an audience of 5000 people.


In 2008 Alejandra and Daniel were selected as choreographers for the closing night of the World Tango Championship where they directed 20 dancers performing on live music by the Osvaldo Berlingieri Orchestra.


Also in 2008 they had a very successful season in the theatre El Cubo.


2009 was another busy and very successful year for Alejandra and Daniel, bringing them more career rewards: They arrive on the famous Avenida Corrientes, in Teatro Broadway with their show, "Vibraciones del Alma" where they performed for 5 consecutive months and received excellent reviews. They performed in a gala organized in the honor of Mrs. Christina Kirchner, President of Argentina. They were chosen by the CID UNESCO to represent tango as Intangible Patrimony of Humanity.

In 2010 and 2011 Alejandra and Daniel participated in the Festival International de Tango de Todi, Italia.


In December 2012 the Government of the city of Buenos Aires invited them to perform at the closing ceremony of the National Day of Tango, on a large stage, for an audience of several thousands.


During 2010, 2011, 2012 they toured extensively as masters of tango throughout Europe: Italy, France, Russia, Switzerland, Turkey.


Between October 2012 and March 2013 they had the 'Farewell Season' for their show Vibraciones del Alma in the Cultural Centre Borges, Buenos Aires.


In August 2013 the Government of the City of Buenos Aires celebrated them and paid them homage for 10 years of artistic trajectory of Corporacion Tango. The celebrations concluded with a performance in Luna Park at the opening of the night for the World'sTango Finals.


In the year of 2015 and 2016 they were choreographers of the huge Government of Argentina Project Tango Federal.


In the years of 2015, 2017 & 2022 Armenti and Juárez they were part of the most prestigious and official Tango Championship in United State of America, ATUSA, directed by Andrea Monti. It is the preliminar of the World Tango Championship from Argentina. 


In the year of 2016 they created their second and original tango show called "Remembranzas of Corporacion Tango", and they presented it in different theaters in Buenos Aires during 2017 and 2018.


In pandemic times 2020, they created the First International Teaching Study for Professional Dancers-Teachers recognized by International Dance Council of UNESCO, with the objetive of to teach and to prepare future generations of tango teachers by offering an International valid title of Tango Teachers.


Corporacion Tango had the honor of been part of the International Dance Day celebrations in the year of 2019, 2020 and 2021, hired by National Dance Council of Argentina.


This year, after the long involuntary stopping of pandemic, the Government of Buenos Aires hired them and Corporacion Tango for making a special presentation in a great theater during the Tango Festival and World Tango Championship 2021.


In the year of 2023 they presented "Remembranzas" at the Dance Mission Theatre in San Francisco, with great success and standing ovation.


The last 3 years they dedicate to transmit all their knowledge al around United State in important cities like: Dallas, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vermont, Chicago, New York.

Valentín Juárez

Valentín began his studies in jazz dance, tango and hip hop at the age of 6, in 2013. In 2017, he added to the aforementioned disciplines, musical comedy at the Argentine school “Act&Art” until the end of 2021. During 2019 he began academic studies in contemporary dance, jazz and ballet, at the prestigious “Fundación Julio Bocca”. At the same time, he began his teaching of ballet, jazz dance, contemporary dance and tango with international certification granted by the C.I.D UNESCO. At the same time, he continued his training during 2020 until 2022 with outstanding Argentine teachers in Jazz Theater, Contemporary Jazz, Ballet and Tumbling. In 2022, he joined a 4-month intensive training program at the prestigious studio “Millenium Dance Complex” in Los Angeles, United States. Participating in notable masterclasses with Michael Dameski, Kaycee Rice, Alexander Chung and Matt Steffanina. During the years 2023 and 2024, he obtained a full scholarship to the prestigious Alonzo King’s
Lines Ballet training program, and its pre-professional summer intensives. Studying and participating in choreographies with outstanding teachers such as: Gregory Dawson, Maruya Kerr, Alejandro Pérez, Natasha Adorlee and Brett Conway.  In 2025, Valentin finished the Training Program in “Alonzo King’s Lines Ballet Dance School” obtaining the Certification of the School and performing in 3 greats showcases of students. 

 

From 2014 to 2024 Valentín participated in important international and world tango festivals with the acclaimed Argentine company “Corporación Tango”, in different roles that vary from Michael Jackson style, lyrical jazz and Tango, around the world: In the United States in the cities of Miami, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Santa Barbara and Dallas. As well as around the world in Canada, France, Portugal, Turkey, South Korea, Mexico, Brazil and Japan. 

 

In 2023, Valentín participated in the Contemporary Dance Company “DawsonDanceSF” directed by the acclaimed choreographer Gregory Dawson in a professional performance for the TED Conference in San Francisco, US. In 2024 he was called again by Gregory Dawson to perform in the special event “Aerial Arts Festival” in San Francisco as well. In May 2025, at the young age of 17, Valentín was chosen by renowned legend dancer and choreographer Alonzo King himself to join in the Professional Contemporary Company “Alonzo King’s Lines Ballet” in San Francisco, United States, as a guest dancer during the season June 10th to June 18th.

Valentín participated in the National Dance Championship “Gym On Stage”, obtaining first place in the following dance categories: Jazz Dance, Free Dance, Hip Hop and Tango during the years 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2018.

He also received a special mention as “Best Outstanding Dancer of the National Dance
Championship, Semifinal and Final of 2015, 2016 and 2018.​

Fabrizio Ortiz

Age: 11 years old

Artistic Profile
Fabricio Ortiz is a young Argentine bandoneonist musician who began his musical studies at the age of 11 in the Florencio Varela School Orchestra. From his first steps in music, he showed a great artistic sensitivity and an outstanding commitment to the bandoneon study.

From there, he did not stop reaping successes, obtaining the prestigious Marabú Scholarship in 2026. He is currently studying and performing with the Traditional Milonguera Orchestra, also participating in stages and concerts with some of the most important orchestras in Argentina.

He currently takes private bandoneon lessons with Professor Ignacio Claramonte thanks to the scholarship from the International Argentine Tango Foundation.

Emily Ames

Violinist Emily Ames is currently completing her Bachelor of Music in Performance at the Royal College of Music in London, where she has performed with the RCM Symphony, Philharmonic, and Opera ensembles.

Originally from Vermont, she has played with orchestras since childhood and went on to perform with chamber groups across the US and UK, including the Vox String Quartet, which received the Boconnoc Music Award in Cornwall in 2024. At heart a collaborative musician,

Emily’s recording work spans orchestral, chamber, hip-hop, and pop. She has previously performed alongside bandoneonist Hector Del Curto and is delighted to be joining the Stowe Tango Festival this August.

Pablo Ramos & Los Herederos del Compás

This year, 2026, the project celebrates its 17th anniversary. In mid-2009, the project was motivated by the desire to recreate the style of one of the greatest orchestras in the history of tango, that of Juan D'Arienzo.

 

Their singer, Pablo Ramos, son of the last singer of the King of Compás, Osvaldo Ramos, carries on this endeavor with the contribution of renowned musicians of the genre who bring freshness and refinement to the style, earning them great public acclaim and establishing themselves as one of the most sought-after orchestras on the milonguero circuit.

 

They have also been in demand at important international festivals such as CITA (International Congress of Argentine Tango), among others. They have also participated several times in the Buenos Aires Tango Festival, as well as in its preliminaries and in the Buenos Aires Dance Championship. They have toured Chile three times, visiting the cities of Osorno, Valdivia, Valparaíso, and Antofagasta, and Uruguay three times, with performances in Montevideo and Florida.

 

They have released two albums: D'Arienzo en el Corazón (2018) and "Que Siga el Encuentro" (2021), as well as the single of the famous song "BELLA CIAO," adapted to a milonga rhythm, which has been a huge success at milongas around the world.

MC: Renee Rouger

For the last 25 years, Renee has been an event organizer, producer, and artist representative in New York City. She is the founder of New Baires Productions, ROUGERTANGO, and Milonga Falucho, and is currently the owner of Milonga Bailemos, in Astoria. She is also the producer and creator, in collaboration with Dennis Cante and Tanya Spector, of the brand-new festival The Big Apple Tango Weekend, held for the first time in May of this year in NYC.

​

Back in her homeland of Argentina, Renee built an extensive career in show business as a dancer and actress. She trained with renowned teachers Olga Ferry and Noemí Cohelo, and graduated from the prestigious IF Institute in Buenos Aires.

Guest DJ: Lorena Bouzas

Since 1987, Lorena has developed as a tango dancer in various schools and institutes, performing exhibitions with renowned dancers and teaching both group and private classes.

​

Since 2003, she has worked as a DJ and tango music producer, working in major milonga venues, as well as at other national and international events, milongas, and festivals in Europe, Chile, Ecuador, and North America. She also provides online music productions for milongas in Asia. Music production seminars, preparing for a DJ career.

​

For several years, she has also served as the official music producer for the Buenos Aires City Tango Championship competitions, as well as for the Tango BA Festival and World Championships at La Usina del Arte, Movistar Arena, and on the open stage in front of the Obelisco.porteño

 

She has toured Europe and Latin America, Chile, Ecuador, and Canada, as well as providing online musical compositions for Asia.

​

She also serves as a teaching instructor for musical composition courses and discussions at various institutions.

​

She is also the organizer of El Milongón, a milonga held at Salón Marabú, where she also produces concerts and/or events and directs Radio Marabú.

 

Co-creator of the renowned D’Arienzando Festival, which brings together the most renowned tango masters and orchestras on the circuit in each edition, and the Milongueando Championship
